Kappad Beach

At a distance of 17 km from Kozhikode, is this pristine beach that revels in its historical importance. It was this place where Vasco da Gama, the famous Portuguese sailor set his feet first in the year 1498. A moss covered monument still stands today to narrate the story of the arrival.
